National Couriers (Tuffnells/DX) - Delivery Option Explained: 

We use a selection of national courier experts in handling long and irregular sized items, such as Tuffnells, DX and others. Our trusted national courier delivery service providers can make large deliveries without the need of using pallets, which benefits you as the customer with ease of offloading, but it also helps to keep costs lower.

What access is required?

  • National courier delivery will drop-off your goods in a 7.5 tonne vehicle, often with a rear tail lift.  
  • These vehicles will be able to access a residential road, yet please ensure that the goods can be offloaded outside of your premises and that there are no parking or access restrictions in place.

How are my products packaged?

  • The profile sections, posts and assembly accessories are packaged in separate reinforced carton boxes.  
  • Each piece of toughened glass is wrapped and positioned into a rigid, deep wooden frame to avoid damage in transit. They will then be laid flat in the vehicle.
  • To make it easier when offloading, the metalwork boxes and framed glass are not strapped to a pallet.

How are my products offloaded? 

  • National courier services offer a curbside delivery where the driver will park the vehicle in a position closest to your premises. The goods will arrive in separate, long packages and the recipient (you the customer, or someone on your behalf) will need to be present to offload the goods by hand.  
  • Placement of the goods inside your property by the driver not permitted and it is your responsibility as the customer to dispose of the protective packaging.

When will my delivery arrive?

  • Our products are made to order so delivery will only be available once production of your system has been completed.  
  • A member of our in-house logistics team will be in touch to discuss delivery date availability and you will be able to select a convenient date from a range.  
  • National courier deliveries cannot offer a specific timeslot on the day of delivery therefore your products will arrive anytime between 9am - 5pm. 
  • If for any reason you need to change your booked delivery date, you can do this at no extra cost if you provide us with 48 hours' notice. 
  • The nature of national courier deliveries means that Balconette do not have control of the products’ arrival time once they have been collected from our warehouse. National courier deliveries experience variations in service and there is a possibility that your products might be delayed, lost in transit, or arrive on separate days. Therefore, to avoid disappointment you should only schedule your installers to arrive once your entire order has been delivered in full.
  • There must be a recipient present at the shipping address to accept delivery on the day.  

How are my products tracked?

  • National courier deliveries do not offer the option to track your order online. Despite this, a tracking consignment number will be emailed to you that you can quote over the phone on the day of shipment if you have any issues. 
  • Make a cursory inspection when the goods arrive to check that all items have been received and that there are no visible damages to the packages. In the rare occasion you notice missing or damaged products, please disclose this information with any supporting images to our team immediately so we can resolve your issue promptly. 
 

COVID-19 

The safety of our employees and customers remains our top priority. Our drivers will be wearing protective facemasks when they visit your premises. During your delivery, please ensure that you maintain social distancing from our delivery team. All our deliveries offer a curbside service therefore they are contact-free which helps to minimise the risk of transmission. Due to the current COVID-19 situation, we no longer require customers to sign for a delivery if they wish for the delivery to remain entirely contact-free, instead our driver will take a photo of the successful delivery.
