Two Balconette balconies keep the sunny west-facing views
Complementing the extensive glazing in this Staffordshire new-build house are two Balconette glass balconies chosen to maintain the sunny west-facing views over open fields.
Spencer Gibson and his wife Catherine built their contemporary home on a generous plot in the garden of what was their previous property, a farmhouse near Burton-on-Trent.
In two of the rear bedrooms, French Doors allow access to the 3.92-metre-wide balconies, topped with the Aerofoil handrail finished in Royal Chrome.
“We wanted glass to keep the view,” says Spencer, who discovered Balconette via an internet search. “The images on their website show how the system works – and it certainly meets our requirements.”
Commenting on Balconette’s service and delivery, Spencer found the company ‘great to deal with’, saying: “I had a couple of technical questions and was put through to the right department where my queries were resolved straight away. The installation was done by my builder who found the balconies very easy to fit with no issues whatsoever.”
On fine days, the couple enjoy relaxing on their balcony and like ‘the sense of sturdiness” provided by the Aerofoil handrail. “It’s nice to lean on when taking in the view,” adds Spencer. “We love the finished balconies; it’s a very good system and we have already recommended it to several other people.”
