Balconette specified for high-specification renovation project.
Two large balustrades supplied by Balconette span the front and rear elevations of this extensively re-modelled property in a sought-after Norfolk coastal village.
The former 1970s bungalow at Holme-Next-The-Sea has undergone a complete transformation into a four-bedroomed high-specification home, complete with clear glass external balconies that make the most of extensive views over open countryside.
Currently for sale at £1.2 million with over 3,150 square feet of accommodation, it was renovated by RM Smith (Builders) Ltd, a long-established local firm. Managing Director Dave Smith commented: “Both balconies look fantastic and are an eye-catching feature on this contemporary home. It’s a high specification build with high specification balustrading to match.”
Balconette’s products were specified by the project architect and also included two opaque privacy screens on the rear balcony to meet planning requirements. Measuring nearly 23 metres in total, the balustrading features a silver anodised handrail with clear glass and satinised glass in the privacy screens.
The extensive renovations included the addition of a first-floor extension with a large open-plan living and kitchen area, plus a spacious master bedroom at the back. Both rooms feature bi-fold doors that open up access to the generous balcony decks.
“The balconies add great space for entertaining, or for simply relaxing with a cup of coffee or glass of wine. They are an attractive selling feature and something that really appeals to homeowners,” continued Dave.
Installing the system was ‘easy’ and he praised the helpfulness of Balconette’s team throughout the specification and delivery process, adding: “Everything was well packaged, including the glass, and it arrived on time, so no worries. In my view, the balustrading was good value for money and I would certainly use the system again.”
