When you’ve set your heart on a blue glass balustrade, trusted your carpenter and navigated some complexities, one homeowner in West Sussex finally got the Balconette balcony of her dreams.
Supporting nearly 10 metres of blue tinted glass panels, this Balconette Aerofoil Glass Balustrade System in Royal Chrome Anodised finish has transformed this penthouse terrace to the great delight of its owner.
“Let me tell you, this Balconette balustrade has transformed this place; it’s amazing and I just love it,” she exclaimed. “When I bought the penthouse, the original wooden balcony looked like just bits of sticks. But I knew that I wanted to follow on the cedar theme, and I wanted the blue as I live by the sea.
“Clear glass didn’t cut it for me; I live by the sea and living on the south coast, you get different shades of blue, and I wanted that reflection. When visitors see it, their jaws drop.”
Installed on top of an existing cedar wood wall, the Balconette balustrade adds a practical, yet undeniably striking finishing touch to the refurbishment of the roof garden leading off a spacious two-bedroom apartment in an exclusive new-build development.
Internet research led the homeowner to Balconette’s website, and she chose the company ‘for many reasons’, saying: “They looked absolutely professional, I was very impressed. They knew the exact measurements and how to assist me and my carpenter who installed it to get it bang on the money. They went to a lot of trouble to get this right for me. And it looks fabulous!”
However, due to Covid, shipping and supply issues with the custom blue glass panels, all was not plain sailing, and the project ran into delays. Until, that is, Balconette’s customer service expert ‘came to the rescue’.
“This guy is an outstanding member of Balconette; he knows his product and his customer care inside out. I trusted my carpenter to get the measurements right, but it was a complex situation, sorting out the height, size and the dimensions.
“Then when Balconette’s customer care manager intervened, everything came good in the end. Thank you, Balconette; my blue glass balcony looks fabulous!”
